Current Project -Acklington

VOVGC in collaboration with Junction 42.

Voices of Virtue delivers workshops in prisons we hope to contribute to prisoner's wellbeing, management, rehabilitation and reintegration. 

We aim to achieve this through recreational activities and training programs all set within the context of music which inspire discipline, confidence and a strong sense of identity through the preparation and delivery of various pieces. 

We use music as a vehicle to transfer the core messages of love, joy, hope, healing, strength and restoration to the prisoners.

We particularly enjoy this project as it enables us to build an active learning culture and encourages the improvement of verbal and written skills through the use of positive pedagogical approaches. In addition the prisoners learn to work together more effectively which promotes a confidence building, trusting and a supportive learning environment.
